LATEST UPDATE:  No luck changing the HTTP port.  Logged into the cam, went to Configuration/Port and changed it to 800.  Hit save, and it asked me if I wanted to reboot the camera.  I clicked ok.  The screen turned gray and it just sat there forever.  Closed the browser and restarted the browser and then could not log into the camera.  Was forced to do a camera reset.  Tried this multiple times with different port numbers and get the same result.

I'm about to use the camera as a doorstop, and go back to my old USB cam.  At least it works most of the time.

Port 80 is the default port for http and does not require an extension at the end. Change it back to 800 and then try http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:800 If you do not include the port number after changing it from 80, you will never be able to access the camera. Use your internal address to which you assigned the camera, not the external provided by your isp.

If you could provide screenshots of the camera config with port numbers and ip address, that would help out.

Thanks Chris!  That worked and now am able to log into the cam.  Now onto port forwarding.  Here is what I have:

IP Cam / 800-800 / Protocol:  Both / Device IP: 192.168.1.137
WebCam 7 / 8000-8000 / Protocol: Both / Device IP: 192.168.1.100

Still don't see a connection in WebCam 7.  Thoughts?

Have you gone through the webcam 7 connection wizard and attempted to add a source? Once you select the model and type camera the next part of the configuration is to enter your ip, port, username, password.

IP: 192.168.1.137
Port: 800
Username: admin
Password: 12345

If you changed the password then you need to enter the new one.

Hit the test button and you should receive http 200 ok as a response.

Yes, all that has been done. But then I get the error message:  An error occurred while connecting the video source 1.

Which Video Present should I use?  Tried multiple, but still get the error.

Paul,

I'm not pushing a live feed because my ISP caps data.  I'm just sending a capture every 10 minutes, for now.  Next step is to run cable and mount it outside, but Joaquin may delay that a bit!

Sounds good, looking forward to seeing an outside view (the inside one is not too inspiring ;) )

Enjoy,
Paul

That is an excellent photograph... only thing that would make it better is if we could recognize the beach walkers faces ;)

Ryan, looks like Netview is out of stock on the Hiks (Currently unavailable). Where has everyone been ordering them now and getting the English version on Amazon?

I'm not so sure you need the En version. I bought a brown box Hiki several months ago and got it going. You can get an En man, then search here and get help from all these good folks.
