Weather station with Support for Pool Temps
« on: May 28, 2019, 03:50:37 PM »
I have the floating ambient weather pool temp sensor for a while now but ready to take it to the next level.  Would like to get something with WIFI and the ability to utilize other sensors like rain measurement, outside temps, wind speed/direction etc.

Looks like Ambient has some options but not all work with the pool temp monitor.  Anyone else using something like this, only care about the wifi monitoring so the panel they provide doesn't matter..

Ambient is a reseller of various manufacturers. Hence why the pool thermometer doesn't work with the Fine Offset manufactured weather stations. If Fine Offset were to come out with a pool sensor then Ambient might carry it and then you'd get what you are looking for.

Why do you feel you need to integrate it with a weather station? I say if you want a weather station then get one. Then separately get an Ambient WiFi pool sensor console and thermometer set that reports to Ambientweather.net and you get the online access for pool and you gain alerts.
