High Heat in Eastern NC

The national WX service in Morehead City NC put out a list of incredible temperatures for the area today as this high heat continues for NC.

Wow...not because of the heat because I'm here and feeling it first hand...but because I had no idea AWOS was still in service. Thought they had been phased out long ago for ASOS, etc.
