Kelvin-Helmholz waves
« on: February 09, 2015, 07:37:16 PM »
First off I'll apologize for the quality of the photos they were taken by two friends that kindly let me share them. I didn't see another topic regarding this so I figured I'd start one in case anyone else had photos of these lovely sky waves as my nephew called them.

Looking from the northwest, towards the southeast and southern Lancaster County

Another looking from the northwest, farther away from the York County side of the river near Lauxmont Farms

Sadly I'm not seeing any pictures in your post.  Could you try editing it to see if they'll show up?  Also if you're using an off-site host for the images you might want to check and see if they are having any issues.

Kevin,

Sorry about that. Do they show up now? I just changed the sharing settings which I thought was dealt with before.

Still just a broken-image icon is all I see...

The URL of the image is as follows:
That gives me a 403 error - insufficient privilege to access the URL.

Yup... Kind of a teaser... KH clouds are fascinating!  At the same time... I feel your pain in not being able to post a pic.... :)

I'll try again with just a link but I updated the first post with new URLs so maybe they will work. If they do I'll edit/delete this post.

Yes they are now showing in the original post.  Thanks for posting those, I see them here in my area from time to time and always try to get pictures whenever I can.
