Topic: wrong temperatures on weather stations ???????

we were told by lacrosse tech that there weather stations is 2-4 degrees off, they also said ALL digital thermometor is 2-4 degrees off,

can anyone tell us if there is any truth in what they are saying?
they seemed pretty confident about there answer,
but we would like to get some second opinions since this sound crazy that digital thermometers like the lacrosse weather station could be so inaccurate

I'm not sure where that LaCrosse tech got his information. I just finished doing my semi-annual check up inspection and mine (temp.) is still running right on. Temperature reading is consistent with mercury thermometers and local airport 1/2 away. The hygrometer needed tweaking to get about a 5% boost though.
Maybe that tech needs to be re-calibrated as well.
