Solar rad readings in darkness
« on: February 14, 2018, 08:54:57 PM »
My 1400-IP has started showing non-zero values for solar radiation after dark. Anyone else see that with a 2-year-old unit?

Anne, it might be moisture related. With cold temps and then the quick rise in temps with the high humidity, there might be condensation.
My table saw cast iron top had rust on it this afternoon. I used it yesterday, so it rusted within 12-18 hours. I am in Houston.

Interesting idea. I'll keep an eye out to see if the problem disappears after the seasons turn. Another fact that I didn't notice until today: the Ambient online dashboard shows the night-time radiation values as above zero, but Wunderground is showing them as 0. Weird that.
