Heres a wee tip that i have been using for the last week, close all windows during the day, after all, why would you want
30ºC air in the property, also close curtains where the sun hits, thicker curtains the better, once the sun goes down
and its cooler outside than in, then open ya windows, of course, if ya dropped a wee loggy at the pool then that would
necessitate the opening of ones bathroom window and to hell with the devils heat lol
I am in a bungalow South facing, so only one floor, no where for the heat to rise to so i know what ya going through Jachym.
Applying my method only works if you can get it sufficiently cooler in there at night. Had a few days over the past week thats
topped 30ºC and during the day with the curtains and the windows closed, its topped out at 24ºC inside, now thats bearable
I only found out by accident about the closing of the windows, curtains i have known for years but, lined or blackout curtains are
better, I have 3 big hairy Bearded Collies so keeping it as cool as is important for them more than it is me, oh and you need to
close the windows as soon as the temp starts to rise inside again.
PS. ymmv
I think Heathrow hit 34.4ºC yesterday, warmest (hottest) June day since '76
