MyAcurite & the Atlas?
« on: September 21, 2018, 03:55:38 PM »
Since the Atlas now measures UV rays and light intensity and lightning(upgrade), will the MyAcurite dashboard and app display this new information.
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up to much room.

Thank you. The reason I asked is because I current have a lightning detector and MyAcurite doesn't show it. I had to buy a special HD display just for that.

Right.  The old stand-alone lightning detector is not compatible with Access.

To make it compatible, the Access needs to be coded to understand it.  I believe they were working on this for the SmartHUB, but they got side-tracked when they ran into problems pushing SmartHUB updates.  So it just kind of fell through the cracks.

However, they did keep working on the myAcurite lightning graphical interface and it was eventually used for the Atlas lightning module.  It's been part of myAcurite for quite a while now, but was only visible to the Atlas testers.

Well that's another reason forme to buy the Atlas then.

Is the Atlas wind vane less susceptible to "swinging around" than the 5-in-1?

The vane swings around, but not nearly as much as the 5n1 I had. If it's swinging a lot, it's the surroundings changing the wind flow.

Thanks DoctorKnow.

I always enjoy your AcuRite discussions. I hope the hurricane didn't impact you too much in Eastern NC.
