For those of us that value having good CWOP neighbors that maintain their hardware working and calibrated there is an alarming situation happening that could affect your MADIS scores.
How would you feel if random fake ghost Weather Underground stations just started popping up around you in MADIS maps? But not showing up as coming from another network...they show up as legit CWOP stations that you get rated against. Well it is happening.

We can continue to discus this as it affects CWOP and MADIS here. Can anyone think of solutions to improve CWOP so that it doesn't get junked up with fake ghost WU stations? After we have discussed this and come up with good solutions maybe we can communicate those ideas to the people that run CWOP for installing safeguards.
