I’m up and running on the MADIS surface map and Gladstone at long last! It’s missing all my data from before March 4th, but I’ve finally got my quality control metrics.

If anyone has a station ID with older FindU data and you completed the registration before Feb 1st and you have an ID with a lower number and you still aren't seeing data, something is wrong. Either your registration didn't make it or your email is not being received or the registration information is missing something.

My ID is FW4377, registration was completed 1/28, and data have been flowing to findu since long before that, so there’s definitely something up. I finally got this email today in response to an email I sent last week:

Quote
This issue has been forwarded to the MADIS team.  We will contact you once the issue has been diagnosed and resolved.  We do not have an expected time frame for resolution presently.

So it looks like they’re at least acknowledging there’s a problem?

Glad to hear you finally got properly ingested into MADIS. Did you ever hear back a resolution explanation as to what the problem was? What take away do you feel you had to say to get them to respond and investigate further? I find it rather interesting that Gladstone says that there is no data prior to a day or so ago yet MesoWest seems to have all of your data.

No explanation so far, just that original message a few days ago acknowledging that there was an issue that had been forwarded to the MADIS team. MesoWest data goes way back but my appearance on the MADIS surface map and Gladstone is brand new. I guess it’s possible to get stuck half-registered on MADIS.

I got a response email today from CWOP and I am now on the members list (FW4622). It looks like the latest member list goes up to FW4661 now, so hopefully progress is being made.

Same. Was told the data should show up on MADIS next Wednesday.

I just notice that there is an error in the new member list. Two stations are sharing the same MADIS ID and it is screwing up the data.

I think you should send cwop-support@noaa.gov a message that they screwed up, and they need to fix it so that you get your own MADIS ID instead of dumping you into someone else's MADIS ID, because I'm sure that Thomas Robbins is not too happy as he will have red Xs pretty soon. He isn't going to have a clue where the problem is either unless he stumbles on this thread.

I just sent an email to Thomas so that he doesn't go crazy and pull his hair out.

UPDATE: Thomas responded to my email and thanked me. I don't think he is a user on this forum...yet.

I am now AV480, but the tables won't reflect the change until Wed.

Glad they fixed it. Poor Thomas is probably going to start seeing Red X's come Wednesday because of the mess up where he got both your data and his data.

Success for FW4751.  I sent the request on March 2.  Got the reply yesterday, March 13.  I take it they are catching up on the backlog.

It does seem that I missed the mid-week table update, so no MADIS until mid-next-week.
