Saratoga Template - Average wind direction on dashboard
« on: July 18, 2018, 09:12:21 AM »
Hello,
I´m new user of Saratoga PHP/AJAX Website Template. Before I publish it on my web, I want to show 10min average wind direction value and pointer on the Ajax dashboard - same, as the 10min wind speed, instead of the online values (that because the wind is turning very often and it looks like a carousel).

Can I get an advice how to?

Thanks

The weather software you are using would have to provide an average wind direction value. I use Meteobridge, which (as far as I can tell) does not.

I can see this command in meteohub (not meteobridge):

With the compass point version being:

http://192.168.1.xx/meteograph.cgi?text=last15m_wind0_maindir_en

I am not sure if this does exactly what you want. (or close enough)

Since you piqued my curiosity, I added this to my web site as follows: http://www.miraculon.com/weatherdata/windcompare.html
The Wind Dir 15 min items are for both of my wind sets, Davis and RM Young.

Have you investigated why your vane is "turning like a carousel"? Maybe it is not sited properly and there are wind patterns from your roof or other obstruction that are causing problems.
