Title: Ajax baro reading adjusting page
Post by: stewart45 on March 08, 2011, 05:15:16 AM
not sure if I am explaining this properly but the ajax baro reading at the top of my index page causes a line return (see attachment) making the page jump, is there a way to stop this. tried deleting some of the languages to give more room but didnt help much

I have tried to do the same with no luck. It appears to be the barometer trend description that causes it, I tried to edit the ajax-gizmo files but could not get the results I wanted. For now I stopped using the gizmo on my index page since all the same data is there in the dashboard.

Yes, when there are too many language flags displayed, or the sitename text is too long, then the Gizmo output can fold unexpectedly when long lines are there too.  It's a case of trying to fit too much incompressible stuff in the header.

The new V3 template uses a drop-down list for language selection, so is more immune to this kind of overflow issue.

I'd recommend pruning a few languages from your set, then then Gizmo can be reenabled :)
