Like another site recently put on here, I said I like stats, and u definitely have that!! Very nice! The only criticism I would have is that I think your webcam picture at the top of the page is a little too big, I have to scroll down to see the whole thing! But otherwise, your site is awesome!!

That's a first - using an SLR as a webcam!
I can see how you did it as I could have my 5D connected via laptop.
Not going to though!
Would it work with my old 300D?  :-k

Hello,

 Thx for aw :-)
I checked out my counter stats for visitors screen resolution and 1200x800 should be the best for all.
Unfortunately for some users this size is too big..
My 20d is older than yours 300d so it should work. It depends on canon remote software.
My DSLR setup:
Software Canon Utility incl Eos viewer and Wia Drver for your cam - important: old dlrs like my 20d doesn't work with 64bit systems si I had to install at a virtual machine win vista 32 where the cam runs now.
The cam is connected with USB cable. The picture will download autom from cam and with a batch via irfanview the picture gets the stamp and the right size...
For any question you can contact me at wetterstation-vallendar@arcor.de

Brgds. Stefan

Damn that is one beautiful image. I use a Olympus C4000 for my webcam and find the images the cameras produce far exceeds any of the real webcams. Great site!

yes ;-)
but without "your u.s." davis instruments i would never begin with weather logging.
In my opinion all other weather stations are worse.
With the envoy8x ive solved the 0,1°C problem -  now the station is complete.

Love your webcam picture tonight!  I have a Canon EOS Rebel xSi that's gathering dust--I may just have to experiment with it a little bit after seeing what you've done.  The reality is that I don't possess an incredible landscape view like yours, however.

Great job with your site. =D>
