A quick install. Only had one day where the snow melted off the roof.

About 25ft. AGL

Old Panasonic PTZ cam above the FM antenna rotor will be included when Wunderground gets to it.

I'll tell you what I know. I was fortunate to find the tower on my home when I bought in 1995. I don't know the histoy before that but the home was built in 1963. It's galvanized steel which I painted with Rustoleum a few years ago. It's about 15ft. tall and is bolted into the roof over the peak. The three legs splay out about 3 x 3 x 3 ft. at the base. What's very handy is two of the legs are hinged at the roof mount so the third leg can be unbolted and I can walk the tower down close to horizontal and prop it up on a 5 ft. 2 x 8 length of lumber. My roof pitch is a very walkable 4/12. It's at the limit of my strength with the stuff presently mounted. Seems a similar tower in aluminum would be "le cul de chat".

Merci beaucoup. I'm pleased with the setup and install. There are helpful videos online. The console is well laid out and the color is nice. The unit is designed to report to Weather Underground and as far as I know will not report data directly to my PC or tablet without mental gymnastics for which I am unprepared. No test of the rainfall sensor this time of year. I'm thinking I should have bagged the rain collector to protect from ice but I'm done on the roof until spring thaw. I'm seeing these for less than $100 and consider that a great value. If I get 3-4 years service, I'll be happy. On the other hand Weather Underground is having growing pains right now (some say death throws). Whereas I've had everything working including my webcam, It all quit on the WU side. Seems like it's slowly coming back.

Glad to hear it's working well! I hear you on WU. Certainly some bumps in the road there lately.
