The image I'm using is different than the one on the website (the software is creating two separate images). I think the most recent file I uploaded is about 57k. I don't think WU would accept the image if it was 215kb. The file is here:

I was using my cam's internal ftp to send the pics every 2 minutes, but changed today to using ImageSalsa. It works great and it allows me to include my overlay text and weather data on the feed. I now have both camers posting to WU.
ImageSalsa is just a great product! (Thanks Jason!) =D>

--- Quote from: "anchorageweather" ---I would like to use the VM95 software to add my webcam to the Weather Underground webcam page here:
http://www.wunderground.com/webcams/index.html
However, I can't seem to be able to get the software to correctly FTP the picture?!? I have successfully been able to use the FTP in VM95 to upload to my webcam page for quite some time:

I CAN get the picture to upload using other FTP software (WS_FTP, FileZilla, etc). You can see the results here:

Has anyone been able to use VM95 to FTP pictures from their webcam to WU? IF so, can someone possible post the settings here? THANKS for any help!

FWIW, I worked it out. My image software would not seem to upload to the WU servers (although it uploads fine everywhere else)?!? In any event, I ended up loading up some other software I had (FTPGetter). Works great for this application. You can see the time lapse video here:

When I get to the webcam Monday, I am going to increase the pictures to four/hour (maybe more if the video is still too choppy). Since my camera is a true digital camera it "snaps a picture" instead of a "screen grab". The digital camera wil eventually wear out. O well, its fun for now.

Hi All,
I've recently completed my Hi-Res camera and Video site and pretty pleased with the results (After many hours of tinkering and learning from the Weather Display forms).
The setup I use is :-
[VM95 - running 3 schedules, 1 day, 1 sunset, 1 evening producing the .jpg file only
Weather Display - Not processing the images, just producing the data.csv for ImageSalsa and uploading the weather underground and still image to website
ImageSalsa - Reading the VM95 and producing a sequential and fixed file with the csv weather data added from WD
MovieSalsa - 2 Configs, 1 produces a Daily Movie,1 the last 2.5Hrs, both with postprocessing cmd files to produce a yyyymmdd.wmv file a copy to an archive directory and also upload to the www.southfreo.com websiteWindows Scheduler running the moviesalsa configs 1/ 11PM for Daily 2/ Every Hour
Weather Underground used on main page for a very lightweight daily movie
[/list]
