Temp has gone UP about 6 degrees in the last 4 hours. Is that supposed to happen overnight in December?

Made it to 60 yesterday. Was 50 at 7am. Temps will fall thru the day, down to a low of 19 to night. May even see a little snow.

Freezing rain and sleet for Xmas eve and day. The Mrs. is not happy, the whole family is supposed to come to our house for Xmas dinner.

Here in NW Ohio we have been lucky.....so far. The last winter storm went up the East coast and all we got was a bit of a dusting, around 1 inch. This next storm is going to go up to the West of us and it sounds like we will get at least an half-inch of rain on Christmas day. Rain....YUK

!!! Can't wait to see what the next storm will do. I like snow, in moderation. Rain at Christmas is just not right, not here anyway.

I am so tired of winter precip now. Not the snow exactly but the all the salt and gravel on the roads, that seem to end up in my garage floor and I have to sweep out each day. Also I am tired of having a dirty salty car. I want it nice an clean again.

At 4:30 pm est it's 47F here and sleeting.

The NWS predicts a low of 36 in the morning. I've got to work tonight.

I wonder if it will be wet or icy on the way home.

Ummmm. Unless they're starting a day early, I don't think there will be too many drunk drivers out in the morning.

But thank you for the good wishes (right back atcha)! I think I'm going to build a fire in the fireplace tomorrow night and kick back and watch the festivities (I'm usually in bed before they even start). I may cook a pot of black eyed peas for luck, too.

Sorry 'bout that day early thing... I keep forgetting the different partying styles between there and here. Over here they start celebrating a couple days ahead and after an event. Already lots of fireworks throughout the night, live bands at restaurants/clubs, etc., drunk drivers, etc. Some party animals for sure. I'd would like to have a nickel for every firework you hear/see and for every ounce of liquor consumed. I'd own a Davis!
