Turns out I had the model number wrong (at least at my local Costco).  They are selling the C84612:

This model uses their gateway instead of the usb stick.  Looks like no way to share your data across the web. :-(

I am thinking about buying one of these C84612 stations. I understand from other posts that the data can be obtained in CSV format.  From there I think it would be easy to put the data in any format. Anybody out there have any further knowledge or ideas?

Also, I think the subject line of this thread should be changed to C84612... any objections?

Thanks

The CVS data is available.  But only in two hour increments.  E.G. 0200,0400,0600 etc.  It looks like you can get it for 1 day, 3 days, 1 week or 1 month.

But you should also take a look at the conversation going on in Lacrosse Wireless Internet Gateway GW1000U ERF-100

I have developed an app that can snoop Alerts Gateway packets from a GW1000U ERF-100 (companion to a C84612 and perhaps other model weather stations) and display the current values on a Windows computer in real-time.  The Internet Gateway sends sensor data packets to the La Crosse server over the Internet every 2-4 minutes - so you would be able to record samples at that rate.  Writing to a CSV file or other data format would be easy.

I am still working out the bugs, but I do have most sensor fields working now.  The only thing that needs tweaking is current Wind Speed.  All other sensors are working.

Join us on the aforementioned thread - the discussion is rather technical at this point, but any software release announcements will be made there.  The app and source code will be free.

I have improved the app to allow updating your Wunderground page with C84612 sensor data every couple minutes.

This is not a web page scraper - it no longer uses the LCX cloud server at all.

You no longer need any special hardware - All you need to do is make a minor reconfiguration of your Gateway module settings and you are good to go.

It includes a mini-web server that you can use to view your tabular sensor data in your web browser.

It currently stores your sensor readings on my database server, but I will be removing that requirement in an upcoming release.  You can still store/retrieve sensor readings from Wunderground.
