Scannercast is running fine and the status is OK for 30 min. However WU says not active. I don't see what I have wrong here. I have both the Name and Description mirrored to match Scannercast. About to give up on this!

I'm not currently finding you on the audiostream listing.  Are you still using the same URL?

I've been listening to your feed.  It sounds pretty good... am hearing it in both computer speakers.

Now that your stream uploads seem to be stable, you can, of course, make a link on your web site directly to the audiostream feed without using the WU flash player.

There is a "support" link you can use to contact WU to address the "inactive" issue you are experiencing: http://wiki.wunderground.com/index.php/NOAA_Weather_Radio#Troubleshooting

Looking on your site, you can add something on the left sidebar, like you did for "Gas Prices", for example.

Just for shiggles, do you have a screen shot of your weather radio sign-up page?  Sometimes two sets of eyes are better than one.

On the audiostream listing, "(SC 10307)" is being added to the Stream Description... by the ScannerCast software perhaps?  But that might be why the string comparisons aren't matching up.

I think it might be something that's hard-coded into the ScannerCast software (something that can't be changed by the user).

You can try that support link at WU and see if they can add your stream manually to their list.

Have you tried Edcast recently, and are you still having issues with it crashing on your wx pc?

I am curious where the "10307" is coming from.

Edcast doesn't like my Win 7 home WX PC. I've tried it since I had the problem and it crashed it again.

I know it works great on XP, but that probably doesn't help you much.

I wonder if anyone with Win 7 has successfully done this.

I haven't uploaded streams since switching to Win 7, but I'm sure others have been able to do this.  There are just too many new streams showing up for that to not be the case.

You might try using a different version of the lame encoder, one that is compatible with your system, either 32-bit or 64-bit.

I'm not even sure what that is, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say no.
