Lightning at the sea
« on: August 23, 2016, 04:00:06 PM »
An intense CG lightning barrage in front of an approaching shelf cloud from the Adriatic sea into W Istra coastline, Croatia 21th of August 2016. I was on the chase again. There are some of the photos I have taken that night.

Simply spectacular photos...

Thanks...

As a side note when I was part of the aircrew on the NOAA WP-3D research aircraft back in 1982 we flew along the coast line of the then, I believe, Yugoslavia as part of the Alpex research field program. The scientists were looking at the Bora Winds, if my ol' memory is correct. It was amazing to see the low level clouds being swept off shore over the cliffs.

Phenomenal images!  You have to be an incredibly patient man to chase these...  Thank you for sharing....
