Title: WNG563 Cody, WY Transmitter Problems
Post by: Koolkid1935 on June 30, 2009, 12:35:12 AM
Not sure if the NWS is upgrading something at the transmitter site but it seems that every 2-3 minutes they cycle through several tones (one of which being the regular tone on the voice alert option then going to several really high-pitched tones) then the station just dies, it goes to static until the tones return then it repeats.

The direct listening URL for the feed is http://audioplayer.wunderground.com/Powellwyweather/Powell.mp3.m3u (http://audioplayer.wunderground.com/Powellwyweather/Powell.mp3.m3u)

Edit:  Now it appears to be completely out, hasn't come back for about 10 minutes.

I sent an email to nwroutage@noaa.gov per this page http://www.nws.noaa.gov/nwr/outages.html so that they know.
