Just to be clear
« on: May 04, 2020, 04:55:02 PM »
Hi,
I'm thinking of buying a Meteobridge Nano SD.
Is my assumption correct that I'm still able to link the Weatherlink v 6.0.4 software to the Davis Vantage Pro2 ?
My understand is, that's a wireless module that can do a lot of "stuff" (very on-polite) but that also acts as a WeatherlinkIp (without sending data to the Weatherlink cloud).

Thanks for any clarification.

If your weather-station is a Davis (console/envoy) one, that is correct: use IP-address Meteobridge:22222.
It is called "pass through" on https://www.meteobridge.com/wiki/index.php/Stations

Correct, for weatherlink.exe the nano behaves like an IP-logger
You do not need  your PC 24/7 to upload to  the Weatherlink cloud
You can set your Meteobridge to do your uploads to Weatherlink cloud.
You use your existing  userid/password of WeatherLink .com
plus the  MAC-address of your old IP-logger
or
the DID you use(d) with Weatherlink.exe

Thanks for any clarification.
