Weather Link IP and Twitter
« on: February 26, 2012, 06:53:46 PM »
Don't think it is possible (tried to search other threads), but any ideas for auto updates to Twitter?  Do I just need other software?  Any free ones? Or php code possible?

Thanks.

For Weather Display software only, no?

From above link:

These scripts assume you have the WD/AJAX/PHP template running on your website being updated by Weather-Display software.

WeatherLink doesn't offer a lot of options for customization.  Best bet is to maybe give another software package a try if you want to customize a lot.  Otherwise it is going to require a custom script to parse data uploaded with an HTX file and feed it to twitter.

Since you are probably thinking of using twitter like a mobile app on a phone, another option is on-demand rather than a scheduled tweet.  Using Anole's wxgraphic script, I frequently check the weather from my old 3G motorola razr dumb-phone.  I don't know if there is a phone out there today (with MMS) that this wouldn't work on.
