2011 Hurricane names, and a few facts.
« on: February 08, 2011, 12:43:01 AM »
As the subject suggests, 2011 names: Arlene, Bret, Cindy, Don, Emily, Franklin, Gert, Harvey, Irene, Jose, Katia, Lee, Maria, Nate, Ophelia, Philippe, Rina, Sean, Tammy, Vince, Whitney.

This is the recycled 2005 list, with the exceptions of: Dennis was replaced by Don, Katia replaces Katrina, Rina replaces Rita, Stan replaces Sean, and Wilma is being replaced by Whitney.

Since 1953 the lists consisted of only female names; however, since 1979, the lists alternate between male and female. The lists contain hurricane names that begin from A to W, but exclude names that begin with a "Q" or "U."
