Some day I'll make it up there. I've only driven thru ABQ a couple of times and that was many, many years ago.

0.17" of light, steady rain this morning. And that gives me an even THREE INCHES for the year! Only 7.7" below station average.

Low hugging clouds and some foggy conditions in places make for some interesting views.

Rain came back later and finished the day with 0.25".

0.31" for the month is only 0.16" below station average.

57 for a high made a nice soup day.

At least it did after my 1 hour power loss for no reason this morning. The nite news mentioned a few areas in El Paso earlier in the day as well. I guess he PoCo is practicing in case it gets cold again this winter...

We had a recorded wind gust of 37mph at 3:43 AM last night...the winds subsided around noon today.

On the other side...

It's cold out (26*F according to my weather station right now)...and we have Christmas lights up. And our neighbors are outdoing us. Meh. LOL.

Coldest day so far on this side of summer - 27.1 and coldest since a 26.6 on March 1st. A nice 51.6 for a high today.

My only lights are from the warm glow of motion detectors and laser guided 50 cals on each corner of my cinder block wall.  My neighbor's got nothing on me - just a bunch of flashy lites and stuff.

I heard some TV quick mention of possible some time this week for El Paso. No 'Statement' issued for down here yet.

Another 27.1 earlier this morning with very little wind.

Looking at the forecast, shows a 20 degree drop in the high, "low of 33" and a 30% chance of showers (for Friday nite)

Sounds like flurries to me.

Stay safe up there!

I only have a "could gust to 36" for Thursday nite. Later sees the "Rain/Snow" flip-flopping with "Snow". I don't think they quite know what to expect down here with that "L.A. Express".

It appears we are "test driving" your storm over the next 24 hours.  A High Wind Warning for the entire region along with Winter Storm Warnings for the usual high elevations.
Even a possibility of snow down to about 2800ft tomorrow.  Winds are starting to pick up now gusting into the 40's at the airport.  Highest gust I found so far this evening was 88mph at Yucca Mountain.

I did find this comment in the afternoon AFD interesting:

As of 10 PM...winds are light, clouds are rolling in and the barometer is reading 29.52inHg - in the last twelve hours from 29.72inHg. It'll get lower, no doubt.

My parents wanted to go to breakfast tomorrow morning. Based on what I'm hearing, reading, and predicting, we're expecting a sustained wind around 9AM of about 35mph...   ....and then tomorrow afternoon, winds are expected to top 45-50, 50-55 mph...with a temperature around 44*F.

Yeah, we're in for a rough weekend up here, but I'm totally looking forward to it - I don't have to work, don't have school, it can snow all it wants up here.

Recorded a peak wind gust of 53 mph at 2:18PM this afternoon...a peak sustained wind speed of 44 mph was recorded at 2:14PM this afternoon. Right now, winds are out of the E at 5 mph. And I'm looking at other weather stations across Albuquerque...most are either faultily mounted or it's the true wind speed - most are between 5 and 15 MPH right now with gusts nearing anywhere between 12 and 27 MPH.  :-k

Clouds are rolling in and the mountains are cloud topped. Pretty interesting sight today.

We get snow through til Monday...with a high of 28.  \:D/

I'll say it again...repeat of 2010-2011 winter in 3...2...1...  ](*,)

I remember, once upon a time, a thread discussing the possibilities of our Davis VP2s limiting to upper 40s on wind speed. At 8:40, I hit 47MPH the usual high speed that I usually hit sometime in the year with 48 being my station high (03/26/10)

I should say former station high - I hit 52MPH 20 minutes later... and it ain't letting up.

I'm guessing your station came tumbling to the ground, because your sticker says "Data Unavailable".

Your website is a mess of CSS/HTML (I can't tell the difference) code.

Apparently, the local ComCast has/had issues. I've been struggling for almost 2 hours now. Modem is really confused by what ever they have going on. My data uploads have been truncated with some being 0 bytes (I checked with FTP). The page would render for me but not showing half the data.

It comes and goes but seems to may have found a decent sync. 1&1 may have had a problem too. The few times I can pull any sites up, mine still struggle as well as their home page.

Who knows but it seems to be decent now. I really hate that.

Funny you should say the station may have blown down. Out of nowhere, I was looking at 0MPH with a 1 now and then but the school flags were blowing fairly stiff. I went out with a flashlite - all's good. There was just little wind at my site.

Ah. Stupid ISP.

Cloudy and cold up here. Though kinda disappointed that our Winter Storm Watch became Winter Weather Advisory while everything else became Winter Storm Warning. The trade offs of living in a valley.  ](*,)

Oh well. There will be more later this month...we'll see.

Tempted to get a small wireless temp probe because the weather station I have reports the temperature 15*F warmer than it really is. Not sure what I can do about this. The new weather station I've been holding on to for almost a year now is collecting dust...but it's an all-in-one design with an aspirated temp. Looks like a boat, and weighs more than I think it should...because I'll probably end up getting a stronger pole for this new one.

Decisions decisions...
