Yes, line graphs are usually ok, its the other graph types that tend to be problematic, for example if you have too many columns it starts becoming very unclear or some are skipped etc.

As I said, I didnt say it doesnt work on mobile devices / IE, just some stuff isnt ideal.

Thats true but i think it will never be. The range of resolutions (desktop/mobile) are far too big for that.

"Internet Explorer, a browser that many say is the best browser for downloading other"

I don't really understand the bashing of (current versions of) IE.

Good examples that Chrome behaves different to ex FF:

- Some fonts look different / have different sizes
- On my site do a popup-map not work at all in Chrome while it works perfect in both FF and IE11.

Thought this was interesting:

http://www.cnet.com/news/chrome-continues-to-trounce-firefox-in-desktop-browser-market/

This one says IE still has over 58% of the market. Variability in how they are measuring is what it mentions for the discrepancy with other rankings.

K.I.S.S.

Basic HTML, minimal scripting and you won't have a problem with compatibility.  Cut the fluff.

I don't plan on jumping on the 10 train until my next PC, whenever that is.  Running 7 on two and XP on two.  No plans to change any of them.  Even if I were to buy a new PC now, I'd go with 7.

So, the Win 10 is out and so I was just wondering, does any one here have Win 10 already and is using the new Edge browser? As far as I know, this only works on Win 10 so just like with apple unfortunately, I am not able to test this.

I have had problems with certain functions in IE previously, so I sort of hoped this new browser will be more like FF and Chrome, which always worked fine.

Here are Win 10 running...

Egde are a pice of junk, even worse than IE11.
Missing svg-icons and image-icons on the pages here and there, just look at the screenshot. No other browsers have problem with this

Btw. There are also IE11 on Win10...

I wouldn't take any stress about Edge and its possible oddities so long its a marginal browser (Edge's share of last 7 days visitors on my site was 0.01% 8-)). Things gets different if it rises to one of the big players and/or site visitors starts to complain about oddities.

And, like with Win10 overall, someone will for sure list the possible problematic points in Edge versus other browsers at some point...

I was just wondering, does anyone of you already see Edge in their Google Analytics browser stats? I just checked and I dont see it. Either it is still under "not set" (unrecognized) or no-one has looked on my site with Edge yet.

So this is what the replacement of IE looks like... total failure:

https://www.neowin.net/news/microsoft-edge-declared-least-secure-browser-in-hacking-event-as-chrome-emerges-unscathed

3 major security holes found when browsers tested - all in Edge

And the others are not unsecure? Nooo...
In the orginal story are this:

Quote
Firefox was back at this year’s Pwn2Own after missing last year, seemingly because the browser would’ve been too easy to hack.
