I am doing some research on what a decent professional grade video camera would be suitable for filming thunderstorms.
I currently use my Canon 650D DSLR to both record storms and photograph all sorts including lightning and cloud formations.
My plan is to invest in a Professional video camera made by either Canon or Sony as I know they are both really good brands and to buy a 2n hand Canon 550, 600 or 650D DSLR mainly for time lapse purposes as they also take the same battery.
Any recommendations on video cameras and mics if you have external ones and what type of cameras do you use? my price tag is around the 2000 mark
