Soft rime

Spiky needles of soft rime ice formed during a freezing fog in Škofja Loka County, Slovenia, just 10 minutes ride from my home.

The two middle pictures illustrate COLD air settled in the valley, while the upper hill/mountain tops in WARM air...snow line is downward.
