Plugin Update – Data Distribution 3.0

Hi guys,

in this new version I added interval selector – this allows you to choose any time interval from your database, both shorter (eg. a few months) or longer (eg. the entire period of measurement). In addition, I used a new interval selector, which should be easier to use and also fully localized in terms of both language and date formats so hopefully that works too.

Hi Jachym, does this look right to you?

http://www.brecklandweather.com/meteotemplateextralog22017.txt

Namely the date being on a differently line but, mostly the time is HH:MK

Then confusion sets in with regards to php and 0 and the numbering of the fields, i.e. what number would UV be please?
is it 3 or 2 or is it number 1 because its the 1st sensor field discounting date and time? i was going to experiment and
find out for myself but, that time issue is stopping me going further

Code: [Select]
Parsing line 0 finished.
Checking validity of date...
Checking date and time...
There seems to be a problem with the date and time. Either it has not been parsed correctly or it is a date/time in the future! Check the format you specified and also the actual values.

There is a problem with the date and time, nothing would be imported. Check the date/time format you specified and the actual values in the file.

Hi Bashy,
the date on a new line seems strange and probably should not be that way (if it does not work, this is the cause).
With regards to column numbers, they are absolute, i.e. you start counting with the first field no matter if it is date, time etc.

Eg:

Fields:
Date,time,temp, humidity, UV

UV would be 4 (0,1,2,3,4), temp would be 2, time 1, date 0 and humidity 3

Ah OK that makes sense, I thanks, regards to that date issue is from the files that Brian has recently added to the MT setup screen in wd.
Kind regards

Hi,

I tried doing the update to Version 15 this morning and I keep getting a 500 Error when I try to go to the update page. The funny thing is that it worked once, but towards the bottom of the update page it said that it could not write to the back up file to back up Version 14. Could it be something with the permissions I have set? I could use some help.
Regards,
Andy Thompson

Hi,
if it cannot create backup folder it means that the backup folder of the template is not writable for the script. All the template directories must be writable, not just the backup one, the template needs to be able to write settings files, cache files etc. and in this case also overwrite your original v14 files

H Andy, just in case this helps, when I updated to version 15 I also had a similar problem, after looking at the folder structure I noticed the 'backup' folder was not there in the first place, so I created it with Filezilla and then the update performed perfectly.

Block Update – Database Info 3.0

Hi guys,

I decided to redesign this block and show some extra info. First of all I changed the way the duration of measurements is displayed. Instead of showing something like 6 years = 72 months = …. days etc. it now shows something like 6 yrs, 2 months, 3 days etc.

Next I also added a “more” section, which shows all the parameters that are being logged and I also implemented the new alldataExtra table, so if you are saving data from any extra sensors, it will appear in the table as well.

HI all,

I got it working yesterday, but I had to shift some files around to do so. But I do have another question, on the Partner station block, what is the user name that has to go in there? I'm not sure what that means.

Andy,

I think that the user name is what you want to identify the station as.  Such as the name of the owner or the name of the site.  My user name could be Las Cruces Weather or Jay's Weather or your choice.

Hi,
it can be anything, it is basically the name of the station shown in the block, the data is loaded based on the WU ID

Plugin Update – Station Feed 2.0

Hi guys,

- implementation of API – the current conditions data now shows the most recent values directly from the API file (previously loaded last record from database)
- now includes extra sensor data if available (UV, soil temperature, sunshine hours etc.)
- optimization

DEMO – XML: http://www.meteotemplate.com/template/plugins/stationFeed/index.php?format=xml

Hi All:

I switched my site over to SSL today.  All is well except the station thinks it is offline.  I've changed the path in the main setup to https://www.kpw3.com
but the current block is not displaying the current data.

Take a look:  https://www.kpw3.com/meteo

Thanks,

--Kurt

What software do you use for the updates? Do you use a CRON job? In such case you also need to update the CRON URL

I am using Cumulus. Using this, the one I had been using, with a cron job did not work:

Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/curl -s "https://localhost/meteo/update/update.php?password=xxxx
Changing it to:

Code: [Select]
/usr/bin/curl -s "https://www.kpw3.com/meteo/update/update.php?password=xxxx
Fixed it.

Thanks,

--K

curl is most likely dying on this because your TLS certificate isn't valid for "localhost".  There's a command-line flag you could use to tell curl to ignore the mismatch, but the better answer is to just use the proper hostname (as you've done).

Now don't anybody jump down my throat for this one, just a polite query, or showing my ignorance, I see a lot of the text on the template with Abbr after them i.e. MaximumAbbr, does it stand for abbreviation when in this case Maximum is not an abbrevation

Solution: http://www.meteotemplate.com/web/translations/index.php

Make sure you keep those files up-to-date, people often don´t upadte the language files because in English it usually works - usually :-) Not always
