Title: WS 1001 displays compatible with Ws 1002?
Post by: jdoty on December 08, 2017, 09:55:23 AM
I've had a WS 1001 for two years and I am thinking about upgrading to a WS 1002.  I already have two display units and don't want to junk them.  Are the display consoles compatible with the new WS 1002?

Best will be to email Ambient and ask them. They are quick to respond.

When you apply the latest firmware to WS 1001 it comes up as WS 1002 which suggests that maybe they are compatible. As I understand, the difference between the two models is how the outdoor unit is powered.

Yes, but there are 433mhz and 915mhz versions. This will be on the back of the display.
