ET Column In Browse
« on: December 12, 2017, 07:15:14 AM »
I have the Davis Vantage Pro 2 plus weather station and looking in the browse window at the far right there is a column titled ET.
Can someone tell me what type of weather information is shown in the this column and what ET stands for?.
Cannot make any sense of the information in the Wheatherlink  help file under ET.

EvapoTranspiration (ET) is essentially evaporation from the ground and foliage - what's sometimes called 'reverse rainfall'. Weatherlink cannot calculate ET unless a solar sensor is installed.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.

Hi JohnD,
Thanks very much for your clear explanation of what ET is.
I don't know why they did not have an explanation like you have made in the Weatherlink help file for us newbies?.
Of course this ET is also in Bulletin window and other windows as well in the Weatherlink software.
