AcuRite Appoints Kari Strenfel as Staff Meteorologist

AcuRite meteorologist highlights commitment to delivering accurate, innovative environmental monitoring solutions.

LAKE GENEVA, Wis. – Nov. 30, 2017 – AcuRite, a leader in personal weather and environmental monitoring solutions, today announced the addition of Kari Strenfel as AcuRite Meteorologist.  In this role, Strenfel will be working closely with the product development and marketing teams to further develop and expand AcuRite’s growing portfolio of environmental monitoring solutions.

"Adding a meteorologist to our staff is a natural evolution of AcuRite’s commitment to deliver industry leading solutions for environmental monitoring,” said Jon Balicki, President and COO of AcuRite. “With her extensive industry knowledge Kari will play a key role on our product and marketing teams as we continue delivering industry-leading solutions for our current and future customers."

Kari comes to AcuRite with nearly ten years’ experience within the weather industry, most recently at Weather Underground where she helped manage their worldwide network of personal weather stations.

“I am excited to join the AcuRite family as we prepare to launch a new line of innovative weather monitoring tools,” Strenfel said. “I’m looking forward to working closely with the product development and marketing teams, as well as AcuRite customers, to further develop and deliver on AcuRite’s extensive product and service lines.”

That seems like a good move on Acurite's part. Let's hope her contributions will help improve both their product line and their customer relations.

I believe so, Brian.  Currently there are at least 13 positions open at WU, with 6 of those positions as being either Software Developer or Software Designer.

Maybe they can create their own live map and do it better than that horrible version of the current Wundermap.

Thanks for sharing.

Sounds like they want to get more into the customer facing aspects of the data. Maybe we'll see additional features with MyAcurite going forward.
