Title: Saratoga Templates - Rain and wind history not updating
Post by: lobsterman on June 18, 2018, 01:10:03 PM
Is there a known reason that my wind and rain history data are not updating?

You can see http://suiattle.net/CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/index.php (http://suiattle.net/CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/index.php), for example, that the wind gust history is two months out of date; the rain history is also stale.

I think I have all the latest updates applied but may have missed some.

Your Meteobridge is not uploading the needed data
http://suiattle.net/CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/wxstatus.php
Meteobridge FTP   NOT Current   1242:00:37    2018-04-27 19:43
Meteobridge weather data   NOT Current   1242:00:38     2018-04-27 19:43

First restart your Meteobridge and wait ten minutes, most of the times a restart will do.

If that not solves it, go in your Meteobridge to the "Services" tab and click on the "Reload Template" button next to the FTP to your site.

Thanks, I should have thought of those, but none of it seems to help. The Meteobridge is getting its data from the VP2 (the live data tab is reporting correct readings) and uploading correctly to both Wunderground and via WeeWx to a web page, but no amount of reloading the template and re-cycling the power to the Meteobridge seems to resolve this.

The home page at the URL above is even reporting correct rainfall and rain rate.

The Mbridge services all seem to report OK (see attached screenshot).

It may be that you are having Meteobridge do the FTP and HTTP uploads to a different directory than /CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/

Here's the setup on the Mbridge:

I guess the FTp has issues that I can't see in the log:

When I look for the "test-upload" file in my FTP browser, it is not present where it ought to be. More digging required. Strange, since I haven't tampered with any of those settings and it worked for 6 months.

Well, http://suiattle.net/CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/MBrealtime.txt shows the HTTP update is happening ok with current data.

http://suiattle.net/CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/MBtags.php?sce=dump for the FTP shows
Code: [Select]
$WX['date'] = '2018-04-27'; // local date
$WX['time'] = '19:43:28'; // local time
so that's not the MBtags.php that is being updated.

Looking at http://suiattle.net/MBtags.php?sce=dump shows
Code: [Select]
$WX['date'] = '2018-06-18'; // local date
$WX['time'] = '22:09:28'; // local time
so the FTP is directing the file to the document root.

Change the #01 path to /CapeSmallHarborWeather/mbridge/MBtags.php with your existing FTP master settings to have it upload to the proper directory for the website.

Indeed, that fixed it. Many thanks!
