1 Wire Leaf Wetness Sensor
« on: June 22, 2012, 05:47:11 AM »
Has anyone made a fully custom 1-wire leaf wetness sensor?

I bought a few small leaf wetness sensor board from http://www.hobby-boards.com/store/products/Leaf-Wetness-Sensor.html for $2.00 each USD.

I have placed them onto a MultiMeter to see what they produce.

Has anyone made any custom circuits or connected them to a 1-wire network? If so is there any details of how it is done?

Chris

Hobbyboards moisture  board is the easiest, otherwise I think you will be interfacing a DS2413 and a PIC

I know about that but I would like to make something myself - cheaper.

Maybe using an arduino?
