Weatherlink 2.0 observation time
« on: September 18, 2018, 06:15:47 PM »
Folks,
Am I blind or is there no display of the date and time on the Weatherlink bulletin webpage.  [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
How does one know what time the observation occurred?

All replies are greatly appreciated.

No need for date and time. The Bulletin page is live. The data is now.
Mouse over the GW (Gateway) icon and see the date/time of the last reported update.

I see that now. I didn't linger long enough to notice. I migrated my station to WL 2.0 today so it's all new to me.

Where is the Gateway icon? I don't see that either.

Hmmmm, curious. Neither one of my browsers shows anything if I hover over the GW icon. Perhaps I need to upgrade my subscription to the Pro version to enable that feature but it's not likely to happen anytime soon. Even at $3.95/month I'm not inclined to sign up for another monthly service. I may send Davis support an email to see what they have to say.

Thanks for the help.

Click on the X in the upper right, above the user name, and the date/time will be visible.

Enjoy,
Paul

Correction: upper right!

As Paul says, the upload date/time is present all the time, but is hidden if you have the sidebar displayed. So you need to close the sidebar to see upload times. TBH it's not the cleverest piece of UI design - would be better if the top of the sidebar panel started below the menu line.

I think your layout should be remembered from one session to the next, eg if you prefer the sidebar closed - it's only if you need to make some adjustment to your account or settings that you need the sidebar open.

Also IIRC the date/time does turn red if the uploads stop, ie same behaviour as in 1.0.

Sorry, but I don't usually have time to help with individual issues by email unless you are a Prodata customer. Please post your issue in the relevant forum section here & I will comment there if I have anything useful to add.

GW is rather flaky depending on browser and/or maybe subscription.

Date/time on the notification emails is also rather poorly done but believe this will be changed.

That did it. Eliminating the sidebar displays the last update time. Thanks much for the help.
