I just ordered one of these units. Do any of you have experience with these.

I plan to get that because its new and cheaper than WS-1001, but I hope someone could do also a perf that can capture realtime.txt fom WS-2902

Got my WS-2902 today. Quick easy setup, right now it's in my office. I'll get it on the pole tomorrow and report back.

if the heavy weather wifi software version with works with the WS-1001 works with this new model , then WD should work with it
but they might have changed the data protocol

Does anyone know if there is a way to capture the data from this to see if it can be used with WD seeing as I have the station I can try what may be suggested. It auto-sends data to WU and WeatherCloud. There's got to be a way to hijack this data and figure out how to get in into WD.

Sorry for the late reply.  I'm new to the Ambient forum.  I saw your post and believe you should be able to get your data off Weather Underground, if you're posting it there.  They have an API you can use to get the data:
   https://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/d/pricing.html
If you're just getting data for your 1 station, there wouldn't be a charge.
