I was looking at that radio myself a while back, but money got to short to justify getting it, but found some reviews on youtube that were all positive about it.   And it is a good brand name, Cobra has been making radios a good long time and the guts are most likely made by Uniden.

I hope that helps a bit..

I've had great luck with Uniden "police scanners" and marine radios, so I would think this Cobra should be no different.

The only feature they failed to include is a "home/travel" mode selection. (automatically tunes to the strongest signal when in the "travel" mode)

The Midland HH54VP (a similar radio) has the "home/travel" function.
