Interesting Weather Network to Check Out - MeteoagroNET
« on: September 10, 2018, 11:00:12 AM »
I was playing around with my Meteobridge and saw that it was capable of sending data to this rather interesting weather network. Yes it is all in Spanish but if you use Google Chrome browser you can have it translate the pages almost perfectly so that you can navigate it.

After you are on the site Chrome will automatically give you the option icon to translate. If it turns off just click it again and turn back on.

This takes you to the map.

Or if you are on their home page just click on MeteoagroNET on the top bar.

The drop down to choose your country does not translate with Chrome. So you need to know that United States is Estados Unidos in Spanish. Everything else should be easy to figure out. Next when you are at the adding the station info again you need to select the country and this time United States is listed as US but not alphabetically (because Google did translate and that made it not be alphabetical as it used to be an "E" word, so just look for it in that list.)
You are not allowed to later edit your Latitude and Longitude...so get it right the first time with the red dot and zoom in for precision.

It is very easy and straight forward. Just remember everything is in metric. So convert your elevation height to meters...etc.

The website has very nice graphs. You can box in with the mouse sections of the graph to nicely zoom in. There currently is no way to switch units to American Imperial but I spoke with the management via email. They are working on version 2.0 and it will soon have more features and include English so that you don't have to click the translate button. And it will gain Imperial units.

They are based out of Columbia. Only two stations in the US. I was the 2nd and just signed up. Check out the North Carolina station to see its historic graphs. Do the mouse trick I mentioned with the graphs. The zoom reset is in the top right corner.

Mine is fresh so not much to look at yet:

Might be fun to play around with, especially if you have a Meteobridge as it is already there. Please comment if you use different software and if the option is listed. They have a free Json API key that you can generate too.

Funny they sell a Meteobridge and call it AgroBridge. Not any different than Ambient's WeatherBridge I suppose.
