new and needin help with wi-fi connectivity
« on: May 07, 2008, 09:42:44 PM »
Ok. Hello, all!

First, I don't have the wi-fi vantage pro2. i have the wireless with USB connection.. I know, i should go to serial.  BUT, here is what I would rather do.

I have a wireless router in my house that connects my laptops and one desktop to the internet wirelessly.  I would like to connect the console to the network wirelessly so that I can access the data on my desktop (in another room) since the desktop has the software on it. Make sense?  In theory, I would think that there is something that connects my usb cable coming out of the console into a wireless adaptor that is recognized by the router.

Other than buying the wifi version (too late), does anyone have any experience with this and can offer a solution?

Thanks!

Ryan

If I'm understanding what you're trying to do you'd need something like...

Try this app note from Davis.

Is this what you were talking about?
