Works on my HTC Google phone, can someone with a phone try going to my main page at http://www.daculaweather.com and see if you get redirected? Please!

Thanks!
I do get redirected to your mobile site on my iphone.  However it is reading it as a normal page so your page appears real thin and I have to zoom in.  Do you have the right page identifier at the top of the page:

Quote
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/xhtml-mobile10.dtd">

This tells the browser it is a mobile page!

On the iphone it automaticaly assumes the web page is just that a normal sizes web page.   So if you design a page at 350pix as the width, but leave your  doc statement as something like:
Quote
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
then it will display a page arround 1200 pix wide and your 350pix will only take up the middle 1/3rd of the page.

Mine did the same thing.  When I changed the above statement to:
Quote
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD XHTML Mobile 1.0//EN" "http://www.wapforum.org/DTD/xhtml-mobile10.dtd">

The iphone new it was not a full page and auto zoomed in on the 350pix.

I just viewed the source on your mobile page and you have the correct statement at the top.  So... I see it is working correctly on the iphone now! \:D/

AND... I have it set to redirect Blackberry's to the phone page.

The LG Blackberry I am using does redirect to my own mobile page. It is a flip phone. An LG Lotus.

Here is the phone except mine is all black:

Strange. I've made a change to my css to specify a body size, could you try one more time? Sorry!!  :-)
And Danny, I made a change, could you please try it again? I had Balckberry's set to redirect but not mobile browsers (not sure what those include).

Now it redirects me. From where it says "Weather at a glance", anything below that & through the forecast icons are out of center on my phone. Everything below the forecast icons is perfect.

That's strange. The forecast icons are in a table, are they straight, just not in the main div? Those are a lot of little divs that are precisely placed, but it seemed to work on everything I tried it with: IE7, IE8, Chrome, Firefox, and my Droid. I have no idea.
Anyone else have this problem on this page?

Great! Thanks for checking for me! Other than ask people with different phones than mine, I have no real way of knowing how it looks!

I agree,  I am only sure that mine works on your HTC Google, on m77's nokia E71 and on my iphone.  The majority of the market is iphone and blackberry.  So I'm still hopeing someone with a blackberry or another phone not mentioned checks for me.  Not just that they get redirected to the mobile site but that the page lloks good on their display.  www.peotoneweather.com

on your warning summary page, if thats a seperate page then the full size version of your site uses, then you need to replace

Quote
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">

with

I have the same issue with mine!  Take a look at it!  I tried reducing to the <body width="290"> and it helped!  But its still not perfect.

There are some table width's that have to be modified, not sure what else yet. I'll put it on the list of "Never Ending Things To Do"

Thanks for checking!  I am still searching the problem!  It seems that the Blackberry's do not pick up the data that is sent by ajax!  Before I did the redirect I did get to see not only the mobile site but the full size one as well on 2 different Blackberrys.  Niether of them could "see" the ajax data!  I don't know why the blackberry's don't see it.  I talked to a friend today with the newest Blackberry and he could see the ajax!  I'm hoping to find some more info,  maybe there is some code to help the Blackberry browser see the ajax!  If not I'll make a 2nd mobile page with condiions updated every 10 minutes and direct Blackberry's only to it!

I use ajax on my mobile page and my blackberry sees it fine.. I went to index2.php to see if your ajax worked there but I got redirected from that URL to your mobile page too. Are you uploading your weather data via VWS or WD? It looks like you are using VWS...

Im using VWS!

Index2 will now take you to a full page!

Any idea why only 1 Blackberry out of the 5 I know of, can see the ajax!

Nokia Google samsung and iphone all see it!

Ok, I made it to your main page of index2.php.
Here are the results:

1.  The ajax data is missing.
2.  No UV data including any of the severity images.
3.  The Yearly records section does show the data.

As far a why blackberries can't see your data I am not real sure. If I had to guess (which I really shouldn't do) without being able to see any of the php/vws code, my guess is that it has to do with VWS. I know WD works. It doesn't appear to play nice with VWS tags. One way to test that is to try using a few vws data tags without the ajax and see if that shows up. I suspect that won't work either, but I could be wrong.

You entire site had been timing out on me. Both index and index2. It been hit and miss on if your site loads up or not. I got it to load up long enough to do the tests.. Something is amiss...
