I also use the cloudbaseCU script modified by BCJKiwi for Cumulus.
The code in the cloudbaseCU.php is
   if ($reload) { // download METAR as existing file is stale or missing
      $rawfile = 'http://weather.noaa.gov/pub/data/observations/metar/stations/' . $icao . '.TXT';

and that link is no longer valid.

@mkutche, I could contact Brian the script author but what did you change that to?

Thanks,
Paul

Thanks Jachym,
I have changed the link to the one you provided and seems to be working correctly.

A Notification was placed in May 2016 here http://silveracorn.nz/weather/wxscripts.php advising what to change in the cloudbaseCU script.

At the same time this was notified on the Cumulus forum here http://sandaysoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=10414&start=135 when Ken True advised the NOAA change was coming.

even if i change $getMetar from false to true it still isn't correct.

Hi,

It is a long time since I last looked at this script.

If you have set $getmetar = false;
then                   // if set to false will Use Cumulus (Zambretti Forecast) data ONLY
applies. The Zambretti forecast is produced by Cumulus itself and there will be no interaction attempted with NOAA.

However, you should be aware that the Zambretti forecast is very simplistic and unreliable.
Also, you would need to set ( i.e. tick the box for ) the Cumulus option
[] Use Cumulus forecast
Use the Zambretti forecast generated by Cumulus

This is under Settings / Station Settings / Forecast.
