Has anyone noticed or zoomed in on their location? It appears that wunderground has updated to the latest google maps for their maps. They have enough detail that I can see the 2 foot diameter plant pot sitting in the corner of my driveway.

Ah, i had to check it out, and yes there are a new picture there...it was time, so now has the old owners (of the house) car gone from my house....

Not updated for me, either. I guess they don't get out in the country very often. But that's ok. People will not know where my house is, and it looks like my station is in the middle of a forest.

Our image is still ~~spring 2004~~, actually looked in my old backyard, its 2005... april judging by who's pools are open. But it is the "high def" version already. I think we are due for a refresh.... as I know the previous version was 2001.

My wife saw the StreetView car on our street a week or two ago, she actually drove behind it. So we'll see when that comes out. I dont think there is any street view from Canada yet, so not sure if they role it out in phases, or will go for a big bang launch along with some updated sat images....

I think the Google high-altitude aerial photos are still from early-mid summer 2004. My garden is fairly well grown up so it isn't early spring. Some of the photos I've seen on other sites are from a very early spring several years before Google's photos.

If they are collecting new photography, I wonder how many here will be able to spot their weather stations?

I have found that yahoo maps/photos are much more recent. They show my house and I've been here 4 years. Google maps/photos are older.

It probably depends on the area. I checked my home town where I grew up, and they opened a new municipal "aquatic center" 3 years ago. The aquatic center shows on the Google map but not on the Yahoo map.

Same old pictures here. I started building my house in 2003. The sat photo still shows empty lots for my area. My Microsoft Maps and Yahoo show much newer pictures for my area.

My pictures are still the same too. The Wunderground map is still showing a vehicle on my front drive that I sold in 2004.

for my area Yahoo maps appears to be even older... Summer 2004 (maybe even 2003) . not near as clear detailwise or low zoom level as google. so I can only base this on large construction projects and foliage. Cant see detail in backyard to know which kids toys are there to properly date. .... further analysis I am going firm with Summer 2004. Community centre hockey part opened Oct 2003 and its complete in image, pool portion is in fully construction in image, and that part opened in Jan 2005.

My picture appears to be summer 2006 based, after I put in the vinyl fence. Hmm, I need to go look up the fence invoice to make sure I got that right.

They have the dot icon for my station right over the actual station so you can't see it in the photo. I dragged it there from my CW quality reporting page map because it was like 3 houses off before. If you look up my address google shows it three houses to the east of where I'm at for some reason.

We got street view in Canada today. Its caught my garage open, and my wife getting into her car at another house. That technology still amazes me.

Tried to report an image, not because it was inappropirate, they drove down laneway instead of a road in my old neighbourhood. After 15 attempt at the captcha either its broken, or there is a hidden letter I cant see. Or perhaps its my network/firewall here, will try at home. Overall its a tough catpcha.

Just checked WU/Google for an update of their aerial view of my area but it's still the same one that was taken sometime in 2001. The street overlay is right on the money but the image sure needs updating. We have a lot of new homes in this area (within the last 6 years), including my own that don't show. I guess we are low on the totem pole when it comes to updating with new satellite images. I do know they exist as I've seen them on several other on-line mapping sites but not Microsoft, or Google.

I haven't really noticed any difference with the SAT view, but I do like how the color on the MAP has changed to GREEN instead of WHITE and it now says "Sierra National Forest" next to our station!
