WU in South Africa
« on: April 19, 2019, 10:36:56 AM »
I was very hopeful when I saw this sort of helping hand coming from WU and held my breath to see changes without my inputs, but alas nothing changed here in South Arica.
When I log in to WU after clearing cookies and cash I get to a San Francisco page. Going from there to my PWS "IGROOT1" it brings me to my PWS but then everything freezes, I can't change the settings to ºC, I can't go to my PWS, I can't go anywhere from there.
Hopefully you would look into this as well??????
Regards

your pws is currently showing as offline and appears to have gone offline about 12 hours ago.

seems to be working fine for me in Google Chrome (also fine in Firefox).
What browser are you using? I have read there are issues with Safari and the new site.

few things to try . . . .

another browser (Chrome) to see if it behaves the same.
Try installing an ad blocker (such as UBlock Origin) to see if it is the advertising freezing the page.
Try clearing all history and then restarting Firefox in safe mode to rule out any addons causing the freeze (note that the map will only partially load in safe mode).

It seems the problem must be at your end as I've check your dashboard page on a few computers & browser combinations now and none of them exhibit a problem.

After I read your post I switched to Chrome, I do have Ad Block Plus running, I did clear cookies and cash, alas, after I get to the first page I can't get to my PWS, I can't change to nearby stations, I can see the map, nothing.

how about Firefox in safe mode?

The only other thing I could think to try is changing out your isp DNS for either google dns ( 8.8.8.8 ) or cloudfare ( 1.1.1.1 ) to see if that makes a difference.
