Topic: Adjusting Clock Time On Vantage Pro2 Console

After operating for 3 years the console clock in the Vantage Pro2 has lost about 3 minutes.

The user manual shows how to initially set the time when installing the console.  I could not make sense of the directions as they related to clock time adjustments later.  I did not want to "re-install" the console since that might result in losing the historical data.

So how do I correct the time in the console without losing historical data?

I've never had to do this but I believe you enter setup mode, press DONE a few times until you get to the screen with date and time, adjust as necessary, and then press and hold DONE to exit setup mode.

Just don't do a Clear All and I believe you are OK.

You can go "through" the WL 6.0.4 software with WL-IP logger as well:

1) Select SETUP
2) Select Set TIME & DATA
3) Enter new/corrected TIME
4) Select SET to end and exit.

That if the console has a logger, but not mentioned, probably not?

I recently had a similar problem and adjusted the time using these instructions.

Going back and re-reading the instructions provided a better understanding.  Was able to adjust the time without clearing the historical data.

All clock devices on the world uses quartz crystal 32.768 KHz.

Each one is different. Sometimes when you loose 1 min per 24h is quite normal.
If you you are loosing 1 min per year it's very precise.

Pull a battery out for a few seconds.  You'll have to go thru the initial setups again including date & time.  However you won't lose your historical data.

Simply go into the Console setup mode and set the time, absolutely no need to be pulling power or batteries to re-initiate a new config/setup
