Weatherlink data to WU and NOAA
« on: June 30, 2014, 06:23:26 PM »
Can I configure my station to send data to bothe WU and NOAA at the same time. I thought I read somewhere that you can only send data to one or the other. I hope I'm wrong! Thanks.

What software are you using?  All the packages I know of allow you to send data to both WU and CWOP as well as a few others simultaneously.  CWOP is what I believe you mean in regards to NOAA.

No problem, I just didn't want to make assumptions  :-).  I don't use weatherlink for uploading but I do use it for maintaining my station.  I don't know of the limitation you speak of, have you tried it?  Instructions for set-up are here:

I am glad you got it working.  I just remembered one thing. Make sure you enter your MADIS id into your wunderground information.  If you don't I think your information gets to MADIS twice, once through CWOP and once through wunderground.

Usually it's based on your CWOP ID.  If your CWOP ID is DW1234 your MADIS ID would be D1234.  It will be shown in your info on findu.

Try this link substituting your CWOP ID for DW2070

http://www.findu.com/cgi-bin/wxpage.cgi?call=DW2070

and then clicking on Quality Control Graphs for ...  on the left menubar

Your MADIS ID will be displayed at the end of the url for the page that comes up.  It will also be displayed at the end of the first paragraph where it says "For summary information including location and analysis,  please see...."

It's explained at item# 6 here:

WHen I am going through this, and I am at my data profile , when I go to select report files, the APRS option is not there. Did I forget to do something?

OK I see what I did wrong. Where the APRS button said off, I thought that if I hit the button it would shut off, not that it would show the current status as off....

Doh....

 I need a drink...
