« on: January 01, 2015, 03:19:25 PM »
Classic yacht, calm blue water with Mt. Baker in the background.  A beautiful start to the New Year!

A fabulous scene!  Water, land, trees and mountain.

It is a nice picture but the cloud layer almost looks like like a mountain ridgeline.
Yeah I know, picky picky but it is a nice shot.
Just curious how far away is that peak?

Mt. Baker is about 70 miles from here.  The pasture in front of it is about 7 miles away.  There is a light haze here today and it is cold.....  But it sure beat 42 degree gray drizzle....  :-)  That line is an inversion.  We had some fog this morning.

An incredible shot, Greg!!!! Mt. Baker doesn't look to be 70 miles away from you, based on the picture.  Thank you for sharing.

My camera has a 30x zoom, so it gets you pretty close to the target.... Here is an image from my webcam for perspective.
