Rainfall in Nano SD vrs Davis console**Solved**
« on: March 27, 2019, 06:28:47 PM »
Fairly new user Pro 2 w/Fars Nano SD 3.9 Feb 5 build 1952 FW 1.3

Davis console showing .06in rain today Meteobridge 0.0 under rain total for Today Wed 27
I am in Atl it is 18:15 local

I test dribbled some water into davis today & got .06 for daily
At time I was doing this my weather 34 template showed aggressive rain rate for a few mins
but the beaker to left of rain rate is 0.00 inside the circle in the beaker???
If I ask wx34 for today graph I see cumulated rain at my .06
If I ask for March I do see a dark blue line at my dribble time of 1100 hrs today of .06
Why can't I see Rainfall Today (in) showing 0.06 if Davis console shows that?

Thanks, feeling foolish

Doug
There are no stupid questions, only stupid people  :-) I raise my hand  :-)

I did post this  in the de forum  but  owing to the hour there,  I thought I'd cross post  here
Thanks...

firstly you mention Davis Console reading and then Weather34 template.

Can we first confirm that your Davis Console and the NanoSD web interface show the same readings?

look at your Console and the http://<ip address of NANO>/cgi-bin/meteobridge?page=5&session=

do not use Weather34 template as yet. we need to confirm the Weather Values on the Davis Console and the NANO are the same.

PS, it maybe worth updating to Meteobridge 3.9 (Mar 26 2019, build 2030), FW 1.3 (at time of writing this is the latest)

Sorry,  I could not screen capture   Dry day  today  so went & dribbled some water     Davis  showing .74 in for today   rate has of course decreased since we stopped dribbling

Meteo SD showing blank for rain total now  column   & 0.0mm/0.00in  in min max column for today

Any thoughts  on  that?

If I DO go look on  weather34   hosted ON MeteoSD  I  have an accurate via console (tracking with Davis console) Rate    and  last hour shows same #  as Rate??      funny but  Yesterday  in both Meteo Live data tab  and Weather34 shows .70 but there was NO rain yesterday    .70  was an earlier rate  we achieved in dribble test though
Does that tell you anything?

Simon,
After posting info above, I upgraded to MB build 2030 and my rainfall in meteobridge and davis console now seem to align.
Thank you ( and weather34) for your patience with me on this and my earlier questions.
Theoretically, I am smarter than I look, but the nanoSD itself  and it’s ability to host the website weather34 are things I’m not used to..
My next challenge may be determining where to put the updated pws WEATHER34 files ON the MB when I summon the courage to do so.  I THOUGHT it would be templates under data but I don’t think I found the proper folder to put any new updates for that pws?
If you or weather34 care to enlighten me on that or direct me where i can find info on doing that, I would be in your debt even more.  As it is, if you guys ever travel to Atlanta, I’ll certainly buy you guys a pint or three.  :-)

good morning

thanks for the beer offer but unlikely I will ever get there fours hours stuck on a plane is about my limit these days ..
I think Boris is your man to help dive into the built in version of the template in NANOSD , I've been reluctant to mess with the NANO(SD) i fitted it in October and its still running today I become a believer if it aint broke don't fix it..Im on 95 days uptime and last reboot was a firmware upgrade and im still on 3.8 ..

good luck ...Brian

the nano has a built in Weather34 template. goto the Weather Networks tab. add "Local Dashboard"

once you add it then you have a weather34 template here:

http://<ip of nano>/PWS/index.php

you can then add your darksky api key and CheckWX keys than then setup the rest of the PWS template when you goto Settings on the web GUI
