I already have a Davis Vantage Pro 2, looking for a back up station, any opinions on the OS WMR300

Thanks

Steve

If I were to spend my money on another PWS when I still have one operational, I would never spend it on a downgrade, however slight that may be.

Yes, but my understanding of his post was that he only wants this as a backup and if his primary station became non-functional, this backup one would only be used temporarily as a primary station.

The way I see it is that you have a perfectly (granted, assumed) good PWS and want to spend money for a "backup" that you have no idea when you'll need, I'd never downgrade. Save up for an equivalent or better.

Well, but if your backup was better then I dont see much point in keep on using the original "worse" one.

But I probably agree with you

The old VP2 would then be backup, but I can see the point either way. Of course this is opinion (what the OP wanted), but spending a good wad of cash for something lesser when I could save for better is not my way of thinking, at least for now.
