Maybe the problem is that you didn't use an SHT30 or SHT31 as a replacement sensor. The original for your station is the SHT30. But the SHT31 should work. The SHT21 is prior generation stuff that may be different enough to cause problems is a guess.

Please state station model.
Post your station ID on WU or other site to see your data.

Yes it looks like on July 18th the humidity sensor started to fail and it has consistently been bad since and it never recovered. Sometimes they go bad intermittently and sometimes they just go bad for good.

If on July 18th you did not make any adjustments, meaning you did not make any calibration adjustments that would have caused this huge drop, then the humidity sensor is bad.

You'll have three options:

- Replace the entire outdoor sensor array. You can get this from Froggit or you can ask Ecowitt to send it to you. If ordering from Ecowitt you will need the 868 MHz version to be compatible with your console.
https://www.froggit.de/product_info.php?info=p300_wh3000---hp1000se-pro----y-design-outdoor-unit.html

- Replace just the temperature and humidity sensor part of the array if you can order that part. I don't see that Froggit sells this part though. But Ambient does ship world wide. You can also ask Ecowitt if they can send you this part:
https://www.ambientweather.com/amws2902thermohyfroassembly.html

- Or order a replacement temperature/humidity sensor from an electronics shop and use your soldering iron and soldering skills to replace the sensor. This option requires DIY know how as shown this is previous post. This is the cheapest way to fix the problem but it is a technical solution.

Have you rebooted everything, including the sensor head? Is everything the latest firmware? The interesting thing is that the humidity reading is a near perfect match to the temperature curve. Given previous failures of humidity sensors, I would not expect such a lock-step relationship between the temperature and humidity. Of course, it could be that an internal chip failure is causing the temperature measurement to "bleed" into the humidity sensor output, but I haven't seen that before. That is not to say that it doesn't happen.

Hello,
Latest firmware is up, I took off outer sensor head, take out battery, try to reset with button, leave all night without power, and today is same problem.

Hi!

I'm not sure but probably a SHT30 but - for sure - a I2C-sensor (SCL, SDA).

Regards, Oliver

Probably yes. But maybe wait for another tip from a real expert here. It could be a Si7021 or something completely different.

I've never seen that Fine Offset uses anything but Sensirion temp/hum sensors. The sensor they normally use in recent models is the SHT30. With the exception that the new WH31-EP and WH32-EP both use the SHT35 sensor chip instead. I would recommend using minimally the SHT30, although the previous generation SHT21 will also work, just not as good of a sensor. But even better would be if you used the SHT35 sensor chip. The SHT35 also goes by the name SHT85 when prepackaged.

But the SHT35 mod will require a new radiation shield to accommodate the probe that this sensor chip is typically mounted in. See the following thread for details.
https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=39275.0

The SHT35 probe is part number FS400-SHT35
