At the Edge of Space" at 8PM local time.
Both the DirecTV guide and the PBS description say that they cover "sprites".
At the Edge of Space
A high-flying weather observation plane skirts the earth-space boundary zone in a search for sprites, which are fleeting flashes that flicker upwards from thunderstorms for a split-second. Included: footage shot from the International Space Station.Update: It was a really good program. They had some of the best sprite images I have seen. They have 3D views taken from two research planes, and high-speed photography showing stunning detail on the formation of the sprite.You can watch it online at PBS web site:
