Oh dear.

ftp upload of my webcam is reported as not active.

The station log shows no errors and no settings have been changed. So looks like WU - again!

The camera is working fine http://www.weather.molyvos.eu/

My webcam page is still showing the grab from 1:26am on Oct 12. That is 32 hours ago....

Uploads are showing fine.

Same thing here, again. Uploads are being accepted, but no webcam image, last updated over a day ago. If I go to the time lapse video page, and select a video, it's not updating either, however, pick the last video listed on the calendar, and above the video it will say Updated: Just Now . . . which it isn't.

I wish WU would make a statement about the webcams. If there is a problem, tell us, and what their plan is to fix it. If they intend to let the webcams go like they did the WunderPhoto's, just tell us. This working for a few days, then dead for a few days is nuts. When it stops working, the first thing I'm thinking/doing (even now) is what is broke at my end. What at my end isn't working and start troubleshooting, wasting my time seeing it WU again. It would be nice to add a status page somewhere on WU for all their services that would list when there is a problem and expected resolution time. That way, when something isn't working, that would be the first thing I would look at.

I'm pretty much done trying, and now, right in the midst of the failures of the last year, they want their users to double-down and purchase and install pollution monitors. That is not going to happen here.

I feel the same way about the purple air device. First, the reliability of the WU site isn't what it used to be with all the changes that just don't always work anymore. The dropping of the Wunderphotos, problems with WunderMap (that recently seems to be doing much better), Webcams that come and go. However, this link https://www.wunderground.com/cat6/purple-airs-250-air-pollution-monitor-gives-government-equipment-run-money makes me wonder how good this thing is anyhow. Their blog post lists some of the issues with it, and that it hasn't been really fully tested..like climates below freezing, or very hot. Or it's overestimating, or even just the fact of the design of the wireless generates heat which throws off the temperature sensor. I am not interested in being on the front lines with something that out the box that has problems at that price. I wish they would focus on what they had first, fixing the issues before adding more new services.

Still no cam this morning . . .

Well my cam continues to be down. So I just created a new one on WU, sent the cam to the new setup and it works. My problem is clearly at WU. . . who knows what the problem is.

Up top on your main page go to My profile click my webcams in drop down, it will list your webcams and up top on right it has add webcam button.

Hope this topic is still active.

I bought 2 new Foscams and set it up to ftp to weatherunderground. Everything worked beautifully for a week. Suddenly yesterday it stopped updating. When I tried logging in thru Filezilla it shows error

421 50 users (the maximum) are already logged in

Is there any solution to it or I just need to wait? Its been over 30 hours since the last update happened. Now I have opened the port and showing images directly. Weatherunderground would not accept this link either as foscam snapshot coding isn't compatible with WU.

There is talk that WU is dropping the webcam upload altogether, you might read the forum posts in "Station webcam improved updating"

There are ways to change date/time stamped images on your server. A search should find some discussion on this.

All of my web cams , the Bloomsky as well as the Foscams are no longer posting on Weather Underground. IF the rumor is true, i wish they would have the integrity to say that they are no longer doing that.

I send them images because I can link my webpage to that image. My cameras send for example , "webimage.jpg' webimage2.jpg, webimage3..." consistently and it is impossible to get a single name for each camera image, Weatherunderground solved that problem for me.

I am going to either need to remove that problem, or find some software that willdo that .

The other irk is that there is no one to contact directly from Weather Underground. I fill out the support ticket, but I bet no one looks at it
